I can't even believe it! Elise is a full-fledged card carrying Elementary school student! I admit I cried a little when I had to leave her. We chose to have her go to afternoon kindergarten so that she could wake up and have time to adjust before having to go to school (she isn't always that great with transitions) Of the 15 kids in her class 11 are boys....do you believe it?!
She was so excited to go to school on her first day. She had picked out her own outfit (literally...we went to the mall and she walked right over to it picked it up and wouldn't even attempt to look at anything else!) She had her brand new book bag with all her supplies. YAY!! (I'm excited all over again just thinking about it!) All this last week everytime we said that she would be starting Kindergarten on Friday she got upset and begged us not to take her but them when the day came she could not even wait to get out the door!! We got to her class and they let us all stay for a few minutes and then she looked up at me and said "Mom I want you to leave now." :( But I obliged...she's all grown up!! She even looked older to me when she came home. When I went to pick her up that afternoon I got to the school and she was walking toward me all by herself. When she saw me she said "Oh mommy I was gonna walk home!" She just decided that she wasn't gonna wait with the teacher and she was going to walk all by herself (granted we live like 5 or 6 houses down the road if she wanted too she could but that's not the point...) So we walked back over to the teacher to let her know where she was and we talked about the importance of staying with her teacher until someone came to get her. This afternoon she did much better and waited right at her teacher's side the whole time! She was so proud of herself! YAY! LISEY!!!!!!
Walking to school...
Posing in front of the sign...

Aww that's so sweet! I'm totally gonna cry when Teya goes to kindergarten! I love that she told you you could leave! That's totally what Teya will say, I'm sure.
Wow, she does look so grown up. She picked out a cute outfit for her first day.
