Some good baby news....

So after a week of being depressed about Liam's decision to turn into a breech position...after a week of breech tilt exercises and inversions done off the couch (thanks Garaghty) after 2 days of Moxibustion (an acupressure thing where they burn an herb by the pinky toe on each foot)....and even an attempt at placing an alarm clark radio down the front of my pants pressed up against my lower abdomen (the theory is the baby will turn towards the music)... I am HAPPY to say that as of last night sometime during the sleeping hours Liam decided to turn his little head and face down!! YAY!!! Hopefully he stays that way till my next appt Monday...either that or he decides to come out and make his appearance, either thing would be great!!

As if there wasn't enough to worry about...

I am somewhere around 38 weeks pregnant. Went in for my checkup with Kaye, my midwife, this morning. Last week, Liam was in "perfect position," but today not so much. I went in and she checked my blood pressure and had me lay down to check the baby and it turns out he has decided he wants to be breech. So he is head up and feet down! (We went through this at about 30 weeks but he corrected himself quickly and it wasn't so close to my due date so the worry was low)

She was checking everything out on the ultrasound machine as she lubed up my belly and attempted to try and help the baby turn a bit. The midwife assistant monitored the heartbeat...I have never felt so disgustingly sick in my life! Next to birth this was probably the most discomfort I have ever had. She wasn't able to get him to budge much, though. So she gave me all this info on my choices at this point. First was a list of all the different types of treatments and things I can do to try and get the baby to turn. Next, she said I can have a breech birth at home, she also has a dr who is experienced in doing it at the hospital (but they will have to beg him to take me since I'm not really his patient) and of course last case is c-section. Which I want to avoid like the plague. Needless to say I have spent most of the day crying...I'm feeling so helpless right now. Not to mention my husband leaves for Kansas in 2 weeks! What if I don't have him before he leaves....There are too many things going on right now and I feel so out of control I am not used to that feeling. Anyhow thats my crappy news today... please pray for us.

So he is breech...and some pics too....

On Saturday morning we went to get a 3d ultrasound and see our little Liam. At first I thought he looked kind of like Brinton but the more and more I've stared at it I think he looks like Lisey! What do you think??

Turns out he is breech right now. When I spoke with my midwife she was saying she would like to see him turn on his own by 30 weeks so please pray that he does in the next two weeks!!!! Any suggestions for getting him to flip around?!
