The Ripley's Museum...

Elise has a love of all things quirky. Each year, since she was about 4, she has asked Santa Claus for a Ripley's Believe It or Not book and each year Santa provides. She loves the book so much that she reads them over and over, looks at every single picture, carries it everywhere she goes, and sometimes she has been known to destroy the entire book binding because she reads it so much. Back in June Elise and I went to the Ripley's Museum in Orlando, FL while on our Florida trip. It was there that she found out that there was a Ripley's in Branson, MO just a few hours from us. She decided right then and there that she didn't want a birthday party for her 9th birthday she just wanted to go to the Ripley's Museum. So we took the whole family to the Ripley's Museum to celebrate Elise's 9th birthday.

We spent a couple of hours walking around and looking at all the items in the "Odd-itorium." Afterward, we walked through the gift shop for awhile and looked at all the crazy (and some normal) things they had for sale. They had this HUGE display of sunglasses in every shape and size, so we had fun taking pictures of us wearing some....

We went to the Ripley's in St. Augustine, FL several years back and that was a lot of fun. Those museums have such weird and cool stuff!! I can see why Elise would want to go there!

Ooohh... Don't tell Ben! He love, Love, LOVES those books! As long as he doesn't realize that there are museums, we're okay!
