A little like Mount Everest...to a 7 month old...

There I was sitting in the living room sorting through some winter clothes and Liam was playing happily at my feet, terrorizing the nice, neat piles of folded clothing. The telephone rang...it was some telemarketer trying to give me a small business loan... I don't have a small business so I declined. I went back to my comfy spot on the couch to continue sorting and I realized that my crawling, Speedy Gonzalez was gone. So of course I had to leave my spot and retrieve him before he did some serious damage to the toilet paper in the bathroom. But he wasn't even in the bathroom!

Nope, he was.....ON THE STAIRS!!!!!!

I thought surely there is no way he can climb up 14 stairs!!

Ug...he is gonna fall any minute! Look at him cracking up...he seriously thinks this is hilarious!!

Mom are you still there?!?! (yep I was behind him the whole way)

HOLY COW! Mom I MADE IT! I just climbed
"Mt. Bowles Family Staircase!" Huzzah!

And that's how my baby started climbing stairs....we have a gate now. :)

HOLY COW! He is way too little to be doing that! I don't think Teya was even going up any stairs till she was 10 or 11 months, let alone the whole staircase! What a cutie though, I love how thrilled he is with himself. It's always fun to see your baby doing something new, even though it means more work and vigilance on your part; )

Oh my gosh, he's so ADORABLE! And wild, like Eli! Eli is all over the place and into everything. He's ventured up the stairs, but only once and only up 3 steps, lol. Aren't they growing up so fast?? It's seriously freaking me out. Oh, and I miss you! I hope things are good in the land of Dorothy and Toto :)

I can't believe he can climb already. I love the face while he is laughing. I bet you can't help but giggle with him.
