And then she cut off 6 inches....
Ashlynne has been begging for a haircut for several months now. I was in love with her long locks and therefore resistant. Lately, she has taken to wearing in the latest long and scragly just rolled out of bed fashion (sure she brushes it but it just hangs there) so her lovely long locks became like long bristly straw to me. Finally I decided it's time to chop it before my daughter turns into a broom!! We took a trip to our favorite salon, where she had it washed and cut. I was thinking a couple inches off just to make it a little less scraggly would do the job. I was really sad about losing the length (Ashlynne couldn't be happier and I was beginning to wonder if she was wearing it that way for the last few weeks to coax me into this hair cutting situation.) In an effort to make it look shiny and healthy again the stylist took her comb...decided where she needed to cut...and then she cut off 6 inches. I was near tears, surely I was not even going to tip this crazy stylist for chopping my daughter's hair so severely!! Ashlynne had the biggest smile on her face, the stylist was all proud of herself, and I cringed. However, after all was said and done I'm totally in love with it.

You know she is oh so fricken spoiled. A wash with that hair cut. Guess I have to not eat this week one meal.

Well, it's a good idea to take her to a salon. Shayleigh just cuts her hair herself if I don't do it. . . I understand. Long hair is so cute. Why don't kids get it?

Totally, utterly adorable!!! I was that way when Jasmine took inches off too but in the end, like you, loved it. Now I look back on pictures and think "Man, that girl's hair looks stringy!"

But Ashlynne your hair was getting so long. It will grow back. If I remember right Ashlynne's hair grows pretty quickly. It does look cute short.
