Some Things that Happened in January/February....

So following are some things that happened in January/February...no particular order...

1. We have this awesome program in our church for Young Women aged 12-18 called Personal Progress.  Girls participate in making goals in 8 different areas Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, Integrity, and Virtue.  Typically they complete 6 or 7 predetermined "experiences" and when they've completed all the experiences for that specific area they do a 10 hour Project.  Ashlynne has been actively working on hers and recently completed her Good Works value.  For her 10 hour project she chose to coordinate, plan, prepare and serve a meal to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.  When Brinton was in the hospital for his surgery we stayed there for nearly 2 weeks.  She decided she wanted to give back to say thanks.  She contacted the person in charge and scheduled a day that worked.  This was actually sort of hard given her busy schedule with cheer and tumbling and mutual.  She built a menu, planned how much food she would need for the amount of people she was asked to cook for (20-30), got donations of food from the ward (I helped with this a bit), got people to help with cooking and then cooked/served the meal with some help.  She invited Brinton to help, her Grandpa, me and her friend Charity (her name is pretty fitting, huh?  Sweet, sweet girl!)  It was a really great expereince.  I admittedly did nothing but take pictures.  Ashlynne, Charity and Grandpa took care of everything and Brinton made the pink lemonade.  The families were so grateful and she received a thank you letter for her help in providing a home cooked meal for these families with children in the hospital that were so far away from home.

2. Julianna started Cheerleading for Upward for the basketball season.  She had so much fun and she is so darn cute!  (She's the one mid-air jumping)

3. A new gym opened up around here and they have FREE Open gym once a week from 12-1pm for the little ones.  It's been cold and wintery and we really haven't been getting to the park or outside as much as I would like.  Open Gym has been a good way for Liam and Aidan to get out some energy and Camryn has been working on her tummy time, rolling, scooting, and grabbing objects skills.  I love it because they fall asleep on the way home every single time and I get a nice, quiet 2 hours to clean the house or take a nap or catch up on one of my shows.

4.  The day before Valentine's Day we were at Open Gym and it was nearly the end.  I was getting Aidan's shoes on to leave while Liam continued to play.  Liam came running up to me pretty upset but not really crying.  He had fallen and his arm hurt.  Right away I knew it was broken.  His demeanor, the way he was holding it....I just knew.  I rushed out of there and over to Children's hospital as fast as I could.  When we got there even they knew he had broken it without me saying it was even his arm we were there for.  You could just tell by the way he was holding it. He was in a splint for a week and as of today he has been in the cast for about a week and a half.  Fun times....

5. The kids were off school on Valentine's Day because of Parent teacher conference.  With everything that happened the day before I was a little off on remembering to take pictures and yada, yada.  The kids decided they wanted to heart attack daddy's car at work.  It was a lot of fun and he was very surprised.  Camryn looked adorable, Ashlynne made a shirt....it was a LOVEly day.  (the first picture with me and Cam was actually the day before.  She had two Valentine's Outfits and I wanted to make sure she wore both)

 6. It Snowed....and then it snowed some more....and then it snowed some more....and then it kept snowing....

I'm sure I have more snow pictures but really I hate snow so that's all I'm going to put up.....

The End.
