Mighty Minds and a Trip to Kaufmann Stadium

I'm wayyyyyyyy late on this one, but I'm trying hard to play catch up, so please bear with me.

Elise was in the cutest 3rd grade musical called "Mighty Minds" It was about kids who were preparing for a test but they were so tired they didn't know if they could do it. These super heroes "THE MIGHTY MINDS" come and help them. Armed with capes and masks they give them the confidence they need to pass the test. Elise was the introducing announcer and also got to do some freestyle hip hop! LOL! The whole dang thing was so cute.

A couple weeks later the 3rd graders went on a field trip to Kaufman Stadium. This may mean absolutely nothing to most people BUT Kaufman Stadium is where the KC Royals play baseball and where the Allstar Baseball game will be held this summer....so it's a pretty dang cool field trip. The kids got to do some math and science using baseball and then came the fun part (well learning is fun too BUT...) They got to go on a tour of the entire stadium!! This included going in the dugout, visiting the guest lockers rooms and going to the press box. I went a long as a helper and even though I'm not into sports I really enjoyed learning about the stadium and besides not many people can say they've sat in a professional baseball teams dugout before.

I've wasted 20 minutes trying to get these picture to look right and be centered properly....OH well. I tried.

Elise looks great! And so do you, mama. :) Looks like a lot of fun, both the play and being at the stadium.
