Updates & Old Settlers 2009

I used to blog nearly everyday and now I think I've lost my edge...boo...so this week I'm rededicating myself to updating the blog. Look for a new post everyday this week, at the end of the week there will be a quiz ;) Okay maybe not an actual quiz but I might do a fun giveaway?! Maybe?! We'll see....

So if you've been following this blog for a long time surely you read last years' TOP TEN THINGS TO DO AT OLD SETTLERS. Right?! If you are just joining me or if you somehow missed reading that ridiculously awesome post go ahead and click above and check it out.

Did you click?

Did you read?

Are you caught up now?

Okay...so now that you've refreshed your memory with that post, this year was not much different. Hope you enjoyed the recap.

...

WAIT!! Don't leave yet. ACTUALLY, there were a couple really super awesome things that happened at Old Settler's this year that did not happen last year.

FIRST: The MISS SWEET SIX Pageant. An Old Settlers tradition, in which adorable 6 year old little girls show off their fanciest party dresses, are then interviewed by a judge and in the end someone gets crowned Miss Sweet Six. Those who are not crowned walk away with a lovely parting gift. Elise enjoyed the expereince so much and although she ws not chosen as Miss Sweet Six, she thoroughly enjoyed her box of girly lipgloss, sparkles, candy and princess stuff.

SECOND: Elise had the chance to actually be in the parade this year as part of the FCCJC Olathe North 1st Grade Cheerleaders. Unfortunately for Ashlynne the 4th grade squad was cheering for a game and so they weren't able to participate. She was bummed.

THIRD: This did happen last year....We all had a GREAT TIME!

So there is our Old Settler's Update! See you tomorrow!! :)
