Gotta love cellphones that get internet. Right now I am sitting in my Salsa Red Minivan next to my best friend and eternal companion with a bag of cheetos on my lap and a ruby red grapefruit drink by my side. Brinton is in the back seat with stinky feet and a mouth full of cereal, teasing his sisters to no end. Ashlynne is begging (whining actually) to switch seats and Elise thinks the whole ordeal is hilarious. Julianna and Liam are sleeping comfortably in their carseats. In almost every way this is a typical Bowles family road trip. We just crossed over the Colorado state border....finally, we are going home.
The road is smooth, the blue sky is untouched by clouds today and the patches of white snow along the mountain terrain all around us fill me with a deep appreciation for God's love for us. Just look at all the marvelous things he has given us. It's breathtaking really.
The last two weeks have take me away from home and away from normalcy. As we drive eastward toward Kansas I can't help but feel that I will never really get "normal" back the way I knew it before I began this journey.
Today...in this moment...I'm ok with that.

Glad your starting to get back to normal. You've been on our minds a lot. You are still in our prayers. Drive safely. Glad you have had the spirit with you so strongly recently. And yes, Internet on phones is great. That's how I'm writing this comment!
You have been through some hard times. I think sometimes it takes time to get used to the "new normal". You'll be in my prayers.
