I've been getting lots of inquiries and questions regarding my health update. First of all let me say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR THOUGHTS, PRAYERS....everything!! I have the best, best family/friends/ward! SERIOUSLY!
Anywho, after all the tests, tests, lumbar punctures, tests, blood draws, (and did I mention tests)it's been determined by my neurologist that the cause of all my troubles is the Epstein Barr Virus (which causes Mononucleosis) which crossed the blood brain barrier and caused the inflammation on my brain as well as the headaches. The numbness as far as we can tell is caused by something called GREATER OCCIPITAL NEURITIS which is probably another symptom of the mononucleosis infection.
It all sounds pretty high tech, huh?
Well in short, I'm going to be okay it'll just take several months before I'm "on top of my game" again and there is no meds for it (except for Ibuprofen for the swelling and headaches when I need it). Thanks for your prayers! We love you all! :)

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this, but I'm glad it's nothing more serious! Those are frightening symptoms for sure.

Ooooooooooh, Alida! I'm so glad that's all it was! I know it's still going to be tough-going, and I love you tons! BTW, my younger brother has BTDT with the Epstein Barr Virus. He's had no long-term effects from it! Hugs & kisses to you from me! MUAH!
I'm glad its not more serious, but I have friends who have Epstein Barr and its not very fun, either. I'm so sorry! Hope you recover quickly!
