I'm seriously not sure what I should blog about today but current events in my life have taken me away from that near daily connection to the outside world that I call Blogging. I feel like I've been in a cave...lost a friend...gone on a long vacation where there was no computer for miles and miles...not blogging has got me sad..boohoo :(
I love blogging. Something about a daily spill of "what's going on in my life" is just the therapy I need to get me out of the monotony of being a stay at home mom. (When I have comments...even better!)
Since July 4, 1997 (wierd how I remember, huh?) the day I received my first real computer, complete with the "suh-weet" Windows 95 operating system and the super fast 56k modem and how can I forget the 120 hours of free AOL, I was hooked to the internet. I chatted, I AIM'd, I emailed, I surfed the internet, I researched stuff for school, I passed along chain letters I.WAS.COOL. The information super-highway known as the internet became one of my favorite hobbies.
Upon the invention of ASKJEEVES.COM I thought I would never lack for on the spot information about whatever my little heart desired to know...then came SNOPES.COM OMGosh a website that lets you know if things are true or not, I would never be taken by an urban legend again! From there I developed a small crush on
TAL BACHMAN and joined his fan site and frequented his message board...oh yes I did...(what was wrong with me??) We have come a long, long way from Ask...hello GOOGLE...I still love Snopes, and Tal Bachman pretty much stinks! Over the last 11 years or so since the internet was readily accessible in my home, my internet pleasures have varied... scrapbooking sites, EBAY, pregnancy message boards, parenting message boards, religious websites, Photoshop Tutorials, myspace, facebook, and my most recent internet friendly hobby: BLOGGING. My new favorite outlet to the world while my kids take a nap.
Isn't it funny how the way I feel connected to the world is by giving you a peek inside mine?!
