My princess turned 9 on November 4th and it's about time I recognized that!
First let me say that she is my oldest child so there is an incredibly special bond that we have that I seriously could not ever put into words...I love her to bits and pieces. Her birthday was on election day and the last week has been crazy so I didn't get to write this blog like I had planned.
So now in honor of her special day (last week) 9 things about her:
1. Ashlynne is so, so smart. She works very hard at school and is quite the little perfectionist. She is a straight A student and I am very proud of her.
2. Ashlynne is the BEST HELPER EVER! Seriously. I can name countless times when she has helped me out with her siblings or around the house...without being asked. Most recently when Julianna got a stomach bug and threw up all over me at church Ashlynne ran to the rescue and helped clean up the puke! SHE HELPED CLEAN UP THE PUKE!! She is an amazing little girl.
3. Ashlynne has a beautiful singing voice. She is also extremely musical! She is very, very good at picking out the harmonies and sings Alto better then I could ever dream of singing (that's why I stick to soprano and melodies...lol) Her principal has already picked and requested that she sing a song for the talent show this year!!
4. Ashlynne FREAKS OUT if things don't go her way, she is a DRAMA QUEEN. She also hates waiting for anything, she is the most impatient person EVER!
5. Her birthday fell on a most historical election day this year! That is going to be such a neat random fact about her when she gets bigger.
6. She likes to blog!!! To her it's like journaling and it helps her with her typing skills.
7. She is very, very good at drawing. I'm really not sure where she gets that talent because I draw like a 2nd grader but she is very good. She likes to check out the how to draw books from the library and then practice.
8. She has the most adorable laugh and the way she scrunches her nose...heaven!!
9. She can't stand cooked carrots....bleccchhhhh....

Does Ashlynne wear glasses now? They look very cute.
Wow, you have a nine year old! That's so crazy! It is amazing the bond we have with our firstborn kids, especially if they are girls, like both of ours are.
