It's POTTY time!

The time has come once again in the Bowles home where I can no longer tolerate changing 2 children's diapers at the same time...(well hopefully not at the same time...I'm a mom of 5 but that would be amazing!) I have been trying to give Julianna her time and her space because frankly she hasn't really taken to the "big sister" thing very well. So I didn't want to push her into something that would be uncomfortable for her...probably even more uncomfortable then giving up her spot as the baby of the family. However, Julianna is approaching 3 year's old and it's time for her to take that leap into the world of "Dora" panties and talking Elmo potty chairs.

This isn't the first time we have ventured into the "Potty World" but we are definately taking a more active approach to it. The last week we began wearing pull-ups (which I always hate but get anyway...wierd, huh?) and Julianna has been happily tinkling in her Elmo potty every morning after waking up. So this week I decided to say bye-bye diapers and/or pull-ups and hello big girl panties! YAY! Today was Day #1, we have gone once in the potty and had only two accidents. Not bad, eh?! One plus to this potty training business is that when she sits on her potty we read a book. Well she had me reading the same book over and over all day long...Pooh Bear's Easter Basket and now she's learned most of her colors! Hooray for Pooh! (haha, no potty pun intended!) So hopefully by the end of the next couple weeks she can be officially out of diapers. (sooner would be even better.)

Wish us luck! :)

We'll be able to swap stories soon because as soon as we're back from vacation, I'll be getting down to business with Allison as well. Good Luck!

"Hooray for Pooh!" Lol! That's awesome! We'll be joining you in potty adventures soon. We've put it off because of the baby but once Teya settles in and gets used to her we're going to start the training. Good luck!
