We went to Riverton, WY for Thanksgiving this year to visit my mother-in-law and her husband. They own a little motel up there so it's always kind of nice to go there because we always know we are gonna have nice accomodations ;) The drive up to Riverton is a horrendous 13 hours so we left Wednesday and drove to Heber, Utah. We got to Heber at around 10:30 at night, unfortunately our hotel room had absolutely no heat and the temperatures were below 19 degrees. We didn't even unpack the car and we slept in our clothes with our coats on. At about 4:00 am we couldn't take it anymore so we brought the kids down to the car and decided to start driving again. Another 6 hours later and we got to Riverton, Wyoming.
It was a fun Thanksgiving over all, the typical Turkey and fun with family. We did get to go to the Largest Mineral Springs in the world at Thermopolis, WY. The water was incredibly warm and it was fun being able to swim. There were lots of hot pots outdoors and I could hardly believe people were sitting out there when it was only 20degrees outside!!!!!! We got to go up into the mountains and do some hiking we saw a lot of deer but it was so cold we could barely think.
We drove alllllllllllll the way home on Sunday it took us roughly 13 hours to drive the whole way but ineterestingly enough it was really a pleasant drive with minimal upsets and breakdowns from the kids. Here are some pics:
