We bought this adorable little breakfast nook table to put in our eat-in kitchen for breakfast, lunch, snacking and homework. The "formal" dining room (with carpet floors...*gasp*) will be strictly for dinner time, which I'm glad to say we eat as a family every night. We've had the breakfast table for over a week but we just haven't had the free time start building it. Thank goodness we waited because it's proved to be quite an involved project. Jeremiah (with help from the kiddos) started the project at 7:00 pm....(had I known it was going to be so involved I would've taken a picture)
Here he is at 9:45:
And at 10:15
And some time around 10:45:
After that I gave up and went to bed. But in the end it was totally worth it. I love our new little breakfast nook and Jeremiah has vowed to not build another piece of furniture for another 2 years....so I guess my trip to Ikea in June is off, huh?

I love that! You will have to write a post about sweeping up around it because maybe I want one too. Oh, and please do post pictures of your new house.
We've considered getting one just like that but after all the trouble...hmmm. We might reconsider. ;) Your nook sure looks beautiful! Jeremiah did a great job!
Oh and I agree with Diane. Pictures of the new house please! I can't wait to see it!
I totally made the same nook, but it's our one and only table. It was quite the booger, but more than three years later, it's still in pretty good shape!
