Spring Break

This year we had an awesome trip to New Orleans planned for Spring Break, filled with trips to the Audubon Zoo, the Insectarium, the Aquarium, the French Quarter and yummy powdery beignets at Cafe' Dumond. We had been planning it for several months and we were all excited. Sadly, just 6 days before Spring Break our vacation was canceled, and we all shed a few tears. Well, there is no use crying over spilled vacation plans and we had promised our kids a trip so we decided to take them to Utah and the Wyoming to visit their grandparents and have some fun.

First was a trip to Price, Utah to visit Grandpa David, Marie, Zac & Karly...my camera's rechargeable batteries were dead and would not recharge so we didn't get any pictures but it was a really fun visit.

Next, we went to Ikea (a vacation all by itself, lol) and I bought new batteries for the camera...yipee!

Next stop was a visit to Utah's Hogle Zoo where we met up with Grandma Colette and Uncle Jared. We saw the new baby elephant, rhino's, giraffes, and gorillas.

After our fun trip to the Zoo, we hopped in the car and drove to Thermopolis, WY where my IKEA batteries died and I again got no pictures. We had a lot of fun swimming in the mineral hot springs in Thermopolis, going on an Easter Egg Hunt in grandma's backyard, and I even got an Aqua Massage in the Hot Springs...that was so wonderful!

It may not have been warm and sunny New Orleans, it even snowed a little but all in all we had a great Spring Break.
