Do you believe I have not blogged since July 27th? Me?
It's been a busy crazy time since then and I've hardly been able to sit down at my computer, much less blog with pics and everything. So I bet you are all wondering...WHAT HAVE YOU BOWLES' BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS THAT YOU COULDN'T EVEN BLESS US WITH THE COURTESY OF A NEW BLOG POST?! (what? You weren't thinking that??) (and as a side note my computer seems to think I've just spelled my last name wrong and would like to correct it to BOWELS...that made me laugh....anyway...)
Well, let's see, first there was this really fun, semi-impromtu trip to Nauvoo, Illinois. Since Ashlynne & Brinton were off having fun without us we took the 3 remaining children to see the Nauvoo Pageant, attend the Nauvoo Temple, Dress like Pioneers, see fun pioneer musicals, hang out at the pageant pre-show (where they had pioneer games and activities and where I totally fell off a pair of stilts and subsequently crashed into the ground face first) and of course we took lots and lots of pictures.

The next weekend, which was last weekend, we set out on a long journey which took us to Wyoming and then Utah. Lucky for us my mother-in-law owns the PAINTBRUSH INN in Thermopolis, WY (where you can find the world's largest mineral hot springs) and Ashlynne had the chance to stay up there for the month and do some work to earn money for her school clothes and shoes. We headed up there to pick her up but while there we also made sure to soak in the Hot Springs daily, attend a Native American performance, play with cousin Kristina, walk through Hot Springs State Park, river raft down the Wind River Canyon, and you guessed it.....take lots of pictures

After our lovely trip to Wyoming it was on to Utah to pick up Brinton. While there we spent lots of time with family and friends, went to the Jordan River Temple (I'd never been there...), took the kids to Big Bear Park (where Jeremiah used to play as a little boy), "visited" my mom, left flowers, and saw the newly erected headstone. I also went to my 10 year PROVO HS Reunion and....took lots of pictures.... (although like a dummy I TOTALLY forgot my camera for the actual dinner dance that evening so I have NO pictures of the actual reunion festivities....other than the family picnic....if you do can you send them to me?!)

Now we are back home, back to normalcy, and since the kids started school yesterday and you are totally all caught up I can post about that next time! :)

I'm so jealous of your Nauvoo trip! I love all those pictures! Liam looks so cute in his little pioneer hat. The Nauvoo Temple was being built when I was there. It looks beyond beautiful!
Love you other two trips too. Wyoming is always a blast!
PS- That's hilarious about your computer trying to change your name;)
What a fun summer trip!!! I want to go to Nauvoo so bad but it is a bit of a drive. Absolutely loved the pictures on the temple ground! Great job.
Way to take on the river! It all just looked like so much fun.
Way awesome!! Looks like you had a ton of fun!
Wow! You have been busy! Wasn't the reunion tons of fun??? I had a great time seeing you and your hubby. I forgot my camera for the dinner that night too. Whoops. I'd love some pictures too, but first we have to find people who took them. ;)
