Summer Top Ten....so far....

I have gotten so wrapped up in life, *gasp...doing something other than blogging and facebook who'd a thunk?!* that I have totally, completely neglected this blog. TOTALLY. It feels like I will never catch up and I'm sure you all don't want to look at post after post of this is such-and-such kid doing such-and-such thing, therefore in an effort to consolidate what I've skipped so far and move on to that which is yet to come...I give you...drum roll please...........

OUR SUMMER TOP TEN...SO FAR
(in no specific order..because that would be too time consuming)

1.
Kindergarten Graduation - May 20, 2009
Highlights: My little Lisey is now a 1st grader
"Low-lights": Elise is going to miss her friends when she starts her new school next year...see her tearing up in her picture?!



2.
Last day of School
Highlights: Ashlynne got the principal's award for being the only 3rd grader in the school to get 100% on the Math portion of the Kansas State Assessments, Brinton also got great grades
"Low-lights": The principal say she's mad at us for moving ;)


3.
Elise Goes to Girl Scout Day Camp
Highlights: She had lots of fun and got really dirty
"Low-Lights": She got two nasty little ticks...can you say icks



4.
Ashlynne learns to ride a two-wheeler...at last
Highlights: She's 9...it was about time :)
"Low-lights": She fell alot and her legs were bruised like an old Chiquita banana


5.
Family Hike @ Ernie Miller Nature Park
Highlights: We had tons of fun connecting with nature
"Low-Lights": We went the day after a big rain storm so we were knee deep in mud most of the way (yeah, we are super intelligent)





6.
Polynesian Night
Highlights: We got to see an awesome Polynesian show complete with FIRE DANCERS!
"Low-lights": Trying to get a family picture in our Hawaiian Clothes=pretty much IMPOSSIBLE!

Flowers & Gardens
Highlights: It rains so much...I hardly have to water
"Low-Lights": It rains so much...




8.
Paradise Park in Lees Summit, MO
Highlights: Hanging with the kiddos
"Low-lights": The kiddos not wanting to come home because they were having so much fun






9.
Yanni Voices Concert
Highlights: Great Music, Free Tickets
"Low-Lights": Yanni CUT HIS HAIR ;)


10.
Cubscout Day Camp
Highlights: Boys being Boys, getting wet, getting dirty, shooting BB guns, Fishing, and learning lots of cool stuff
"Low-Lights": The first day was cancelled because of thunder and lightning
