I was such a cautious new mom. I would change a diaper at the slightest sign of moisture...if the pacifier dropped on the floor for a second, even if it landed face up, I would wash it in scalding hot water to make sure there were no germs, table food was a no-no until after 1 and dairy was taboo, too. I think Ashlynne was roughly 2 before she had her first lollipop....
....my, my how things have changed 5 children later....
Liam had his first Lollipop yesterday...it was a Strawberry Blow-Pop....don't worry though gum is still strictly forbidden in our home.

Oh and this is why gum is now strictly forbidden...because this is what 3 years old do when you give them gum....

That's really funny! I was the same way, except I used to boil my daughter's pacifiers after she'd drop them. Needless to say, that got old really fast and there is no more boiling :)
I totally get it! :) Funny how we realize those things with time.
I love the photos of Liam--especially #2--what a cutie.
I was the same way w/my children. I hated to have anyone else hold my 1st one, and now w/#6, I am lucky to hold him when he is nursing :) {my 3 year old would hold him then too if she could}
Fun post!
LOL! I was totally that way with Teya but with Brinley I'm already the polar opposite. I guess you learn that kids can survive a lot more than we give them credit for ; ) Liam sure is darling with his lollipop!
Technically didn't he already have a lollipop courtesy of Elise? Or was that something else she fed him? He looks like he is loving it!!!!!
