It doesn't matter that we have atleast 4 McDonald's within a couple miles of our house the kids constantly beg to go to the "Cool McDonald's" on the other side of the city. We usually say "next time" and keep driving because seriously it's a McDonald's...I've been to a million of them and they are all the same, right?
Saturday we finally decided to make a stop and OMG! It IS really, really cool....who knew? (either it was cool or I truly don't get out much)
Fast food restaurants generally don't cater to large families in their dine in area. This means that our family of 7 uses up two large booths one for the parental agents and baby, another for the kiddlings(which means we usually DO NOT dine in at all)
The "Cool McDonalds" thinks large families are...well...super cool...(see how uber excited Elise is about it???)

And this outdoor play area is HUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEE!!! (that says huge..so huge in fact that when standing in front of it I couldn't get a good pic..so just trust me, ok?!)
But don't worry if it's raining outside there are also indoor touch computers for the kids to play tons of games on (and unlike other McD's they actually work!!)
Oh and don't forget a little FoxNews for the parents on the big screened flat panel...serious...

Next time the kids ask to go to the "Cool Mcd's" my answer will be a definitive YES!
**Disclaimer: Yes this is a blog post about McDonald's..I am in no way affiliated with McD's...however if you are from McD's Corporate Headquarters and you are reading this I should probably get free happy meals for life don't you think????

There is nothing like a cool McDonald's. I have been to a couple. But, the closest McD's is 45 mins away. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad.
This would be my kids' ideal playground/eat out place. If I'm ever in Kansas, we are going there!
So which one is it?
It's on Quivira and College....sort of....that area...I think. I'll ask Jeremiah to be sure.
LOL! My favorite line, "either it was cool or I truly don't get out much!" You are too funny! That McDonald's does look awesome. I find that with McD's it's pretty hit and miss. Some are super nice and some are dumps. Definitely think it's worth the drive to go to an awesome one!
I really think the free advertizing for McDonalds should merrit some food. I don't agree with free food for life as this would be a challenge to my waiste line and to my Waste line also. But I do think unlimited access to happy meals and apple dippers would definetly help.
Oh and BTW, all you who wordsmith my posts can just stick it. Since Alida hijacked my computer I have to resort to using my MotoQ9 for blog surfing which is only a 1/2"x3/4" typeing area with no spell check. In other words hipos na.
I remember one like that when I was growing up in Sandy, Utah. Atleast the outside part.
