Every Monday Night we go to the gym as a family (don't worry we aren't apostate, Family Home Evening is on Sunday for us) Ashlynne & Brinton have swim lessons at 5:50 followed by a stay in the kids room while mom and dad work out.
Most days the kids get home from school at around 4pm, we eat a quick snack, play outside for a bit, come in and eat dinner (usually something quick and thrown together like Mac N' Cheese w/ a side of fruit cocktail) and then we rush out to the gym. Most Monday's I choose not to eat dinner with the kids because truthfully mac n' cheese, spaghettios, and corn dogs with fries isn't always that appetizing. Since Jeremiah usually meets us there as of late I have been making fast food dinner requests...you know a McD's $1 double cheeseburger and a $1 Coke (no ice, please). When he arrives I happily scarf down my $2 heart attack in a sack and then head to work out. Nice, huh?
Last night while running on the treadmill and sweating literal bullets I was whining to myself that I am doing all this work, Liam is 5 months old, and I am not losing my "jelly belly" (as my children have so affectionatley named it) as quickly as I feel I should...ug!
Then it occured to me, I bet that double cheeseburger isn't helping anything, huh?? and let's not even talk about the large coke.....

I love this post so much! I am so with you on the battle to destroy the post baby belly jelly! Like you, I'm really good about working out but can't seem to say no to junk food! It's going to get worse with the holidays too, I can already tell! Still, you look great and remember, it took 9 months to put it on, it will take at least that long to get it off!
p.s. your description of the $2 heart attack in a sack had me laughing! Awesome!
that's why i drink DIET coke! so much better for you!
food and diets suck so bad. so bad. I hate them.
I love the term belly jelly! That made me laugh. I have totally been there. But think at least you are working off the burger instead of letting it stick!
