Eclipse-o?!

When I went out to my mailbox this afternoon I was incredibly excited when I saw the "magic key" waiting for me amongst the bills and junk mail. That magic key would open the "package mailbox" and I KNEW what was waiting for me there. It was a glorious three dimnsional piece of cardboard which held my new best friends "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn" by Stephanie Meyer. For my birthday my loving husband ordered both books for me via Amazon.Com, however, they were slighty back ordered (who'd thunk?) so they didn't arrive until this afternoon. As I held that box in my hands I could literally hear my heart beating in my ears! I absolutely could not wait to get on with the story...what happens next?!?!

We were on our way to the gym for swim lessons and a work out so I placed my prize possession in the car. I couldn't wait to open it at the gym and immerse myself in Eclipse while I pedaled on a stationary bike. Thoughts of Bella, Edward, and Jacob filled my mind. My fingers were itching to hold the book! I kept telling myself that I just had to get through 30 minutes of swim lessons, drop the kids off in the playroom and then I would be free to fly away to Forks...or where ever Stephanie Meyer may lead me.

Lessons over, children checked into the playroom....I walked out my van to open the box and begin my adventure. At first the tape which held the box closed was quite stubborn but when I took my keys out and sliced through it...THERE THEY WERE! MY BOOKS!! YIPPEE!!

But wait?!

Something is terribly wrong!

It's...
for real??
My eyes must be decieving me....

Eclipse was in ESPANOL!!

So with sadness in my eyes and slumped over shoulders I walked back toward the gym empty handed. I guess I will have to wait another week or so until Amazon can correct their little mistake. *sigh*

No way, that's horrible...but a little funny as the reader...he, he, he. One day you'll look back on this and laugh too!

So what's the big deal about that? You speak Spanish, right? ;) LOL But seriously, that stinks.

I just caught up on your blog. You look great and your kids all look so big! Liam is so sweet--what an angelic little face :D

Miss you!

Don't you speak Spanish?????? Well, I can feel your pain as well. I would have died. I have read them all, as well, and probably in record time. I think it took me maybe 2 days per book. Ya gotta love self sufficient children!!!!!!

Love ya

Yes, I speak, read & write Spanish HOWEVER...there is no way I am gonna sit down and read 629 pages in Spanish...it would all get lost in translation...it's not my first language.

Apparently at Amazon.com they are a little more progressive when it comes to ordering a book. I must not have pressed one for English. Did I miss something?? I was on an English website or was English spelled wrong. Oh well, they should really clarify.

I understand!!!! Call them up and tell them on the phone. they shipped my package REALLY slow (it wasn't there they say they said it was suppose to be, and I was FRANTIC). I called amazon, and told them I dind't wan it, that I would go get it in the store. . . they shiped out a new order for FREE, with next day air. . . Tell them that you will just buy it at the store because it is fast,er and see how they react. . .

Jared asked me after reading your blog. Doesn't Alida speak spanish??? I said yes she does, mabey she can't read it. I told him I can read spanish better than I can write or speak it, but I would prefer to read a book in english. I have a hard enough time finding time to read and that would take twice as long to read it in spanish.

Oh man that stinks! I woud've been sooooo mad! Those books are the bomb though huh? I've read all of them twice (including breaking dawn) and the 264 pages of Midnight sun on her website. If you haven't read that yet you should check it out, it's Twilight from Edward's perspective, it's AWESOME!
