Pregnancy Update!! (yep still pregnant)

Picture of a happy, preggo me on Monday 4/14/08. (Taken with my cellphone so the quality stinks but you get the picture, right?!)

I went to see my midwife on Monday at noon and the babies position was just right, head down like he is supposed to be. She then checked my cervix and found that I was 2cm dilated and 70% effaced. She stripped my membranes and stretched my cervix to 3 cm quite easily. After that uncomfortable stretching she sent me to the mall across from her office to walk for about an hour. I returned to her office at 1:45 and she again checked me and found that I was now 4cm dilated (Yippee!) So I went home with the thought that I would be having a baby either Monday evening or sometime on Tuesday. I contracted throughout the rest of the day and got to about 9 minutes apart. I had my husband's cousin, Annetta, come over (since she is going to be with me during the birth) and she helped me tremendously by massaging my feet, pressure points, doing the boot scootin boogie with me (yes I did the line dance full out!!) We were sure Liam was coming that night. But then around midnight...nothing....the contractions just stopped. Since then I have had sporatic contractions and sometimes one every hour that are painful but nothing more. My labor just stalled! So, who knows at this point? Spoke with my midwife and she said to take this time to rest and relax. I went mall walking yesterday and today but no real progress and I can't get the contractions back! I know I won't be pregnant forever but I'm walking around at like 4 or 5cm dilated and I feel like baby Liam is gonna fall out...so it has to be soon right?! I am just trusting in the Lord right now and in his timing. I'm sure he knows what he is doing. So now basically I guess I just hurry up and wait! So that's my update, sorry it's not very exciting.

Oh, man! I hope he comes soon. I think he and Eli must be hanging out up there laughing at us. :P

Thank you for meeting my silly needs...it's nothing personal against your cute Kansas house. I'm just impatient and want that little sucker out here in the world with the rest of us. Have you tried the trampoline yet? Just wondering...

Hi Alida,
I just want to tell you how amazing I think you are! What a story you will have to tell Liam when he gets here about his birth. Good luck and can't wait to hear the news. BTW, your place in Kansas looks like a great place!
