Yesterday was a bitter sweet day for me. My baby, my oldest daughter Ashlynne turned 8. I couldn't contain my feelings as I thought of how she has finally reached that wonderous age of accountability. My child. My beautiful little girl is finally 8 years old. She will have the opportunity to be baptized on December 1st and she is so excited. She missed baptisms by one day and she told me that she wishes her birthday was on Saturday instead of Sunday because she can't wait a whole month to get baptized. Sweet little spirit! So in honor of her birthday...8 things
1. Ashlynne is so bright and funny. She can always make us laugh.
2. Ashlynne is a really good example to her younger siblings. She is also an amazing example to me...she keeps me in check.
3. She doesn't mind changing Julianna's diaper every now and then
4. She is a Hannah Montana freak!! She can quote nearly every show and can answer every Hannah Montana trivia out there...now thats dedication..lol
5. She loves to read. You know when your kids get really quiet and you think...they must be up to something. Whenever that happens I find Ashlynne snuggled up with a chapter book, which she usually will finish in one sitting.
6. She likes to wear my robe around the house and snuggle with it. I think its adorable.
7. She is such a little missionary. She is constantly inviting her non-member friends to learn about Jesus.
8. I love her little giggle. When she is truly happy it can be heard echoing through the house....I live for that sound.

It's hard to believe we're old enough to have kids that age! LOL My oldest turned 7 on September 2 and I couldn't believe it had been that long since she was a baby! Your kids are adorable and I'm sure you're a wonderful mother. Keep up the good work!
That is still nuts to me that she is 8!!! She is such a doll and I totally agree that she has an amazing spirit about her. She is going to be a great person! Happy belated b- day Ash!
